Kaiser Permanente Hawaii has completed the last phase of its $140 million renovation of the Moanalua Medical Center and will reopen a new lobby and ground-floor area following a blessing ceremony at 11 a.m. Monday.

The first phase, a $130 million project, was completed in April 2008 with the addition of a six-story tower. The Mauka Tower project added 42 additional patient beds, including 18 new private rooms in the neonatal intensive care unit.

The Moanalua Medical Center expansion project, totaling about $270 million, is the first major renovation since the medical center opened in 1985.
