The Hawaii Group and Hawaii Human Resources Inc. recently purchased JS Services Inc., a professional employer organization that has been operating in Hawaii for 32 years.
JS Services, which has 337 clients, will continue operating at its location on Waialae Avenue and continue using the JS Services name and all of the existing staff, the news release said.
Jack Schneider, CEO of JS Services, established the company in 1982 to help small to midsize companies with payroll, paperwork and business expertise. JS Services generates more than $10 million in annual revenues.
HiHR also acquired OneSource Inc., another business services company, early this year.
OneSource was started four years ago by Desirea Aguinaldo and Jody Dennett.
"We feel very confident that HiHR will continue to take great care of our employees and clients," Aguinaldo said in a news release. Aguinaldo will be pursuing different projects in the Philippines while continuing to work with her clients in Hawaii, the news release said. Dennett will also work with HiHR.
The Hawaii Group, which is co-owned by CEO Matt Delaney and Scott Meichtry, is the parent company of HiHR and was formed in 2009. Before the recent acquisitions, HiHR provided human resource services for more than 450 Hawaii businesses with more than 8,000 employees. By adding JS Services and OneSource clients, HiHR now has more than 850 clients with more than 9,000 employees.
