MOORE ROCKS 'LEGENDS' SHOW | 5. "Legends in Concert Waikiki" headliner Johnny Fortuno, left, and Legends Chief Operating Officer Brian Brigner celebrated with veteran tribute artist Garry Moore on Tuesday on the opening night of his special engagement at the Royal Hawaiian Theater in Waikiki. Moore, a longtime Hawaii resident, has been portraying rock 'n' roll pioneer Little Richard for more than two decades and rocked the room. 'NAKED GIRLS' PROMOTE READING | 4. Cherry Blossom Cabaret emcee Miss Catwings, left, congratulated Lola Love on the artistic success of "Naked Girls Reading: Banned, Challenged & Burned Books" Jan. 10 at The ARTS at Marks Garage. Love was one of three "girls" who entertained an attentive audience of literature fans with selections from books that were once banned or challenged for various reasons in the United States. The books for the evening were "The Jungle," Upton Sinclair's expose of corruption and unsanitary practices in the American meatpacking industry; "The Color Purple"; "Our Bodies, Ourselves"; "Sexual Behavior in the Human Male"; and the 18th-century porn classic "Memoirs of a Woman of Pleasure" (also known as "Fanny Hill").

3. Former Chinese Chamber of Commerce President Alvin C.P. Wong reviewed the year just ended with 2013 Narcissus Queen Diana May Hwa Chao. Chao said in her farewell speech that although her one-year reign was ending, she looked forward to remaining actively involved in the community.
