Pedestrian is critically injured in Kalihi
A woman believed to be in her 50s was critically injured Monday evening after she was struck by a vehicle on Kokea Street in Kalihi.
Police closed Kokea Street from North School Street to Laa Lane while they conducted an investigation.
The woman was a pedestrian, according to an Emergency Medical Services report. She was transported by paramedics to a trauma center.
Men identified in 2 fatal traffic accidents
The Honolulu Medical Examiner’s Office has identified two men killed in separate traffic incidents last week.
Yolando Manalili Jr., 21, of Schofield Barracks died after suffering critical injuries in a crash on the H-1 freeway near the Ka Uka offramp Thursday.
Derek Lino, 21, of Wahiawa died after the moped he was operating collided with a pickup truck on Kilani Avenue in Wahiawa on Friday.
The causes of death for the men have not been determined.
No foul play suspected after body found
Police are investigation the discovery of a man’s body in Waikiki on Sunday afternoon.
The case is classified as an unattended death, and there doesn’t appear to be any sign of foul play.
The body was transferred to the Medical Examiner’s Office, which will determine the man’s identity.
His body was discovered off Koa Avenue behind an apartment building.
