Waikiki man, 45, arrested in stabbing
Police arrested a 45-year-old Waikiki man following a stabbing Sunday night.
The suspect was arrested at his Lemon Road home near Kuhio Beach on suspicion of second-degree attempted murder after the 8:15 p.m. incident.
Emergency Medical Services Division said paramedics treated a man in his 30s on Lemon Road and took him to the hospital in critical condition with stab wounds.
Witnesses sought in purse snatching
CrimeStoppers and the Honolulu Police Department are asking for the public’s help in catching a suspect in a robbery that injured a woman in Waikiki.
Police said that about 9:20 p.m. Feb. 2, a 52-year-old woman was walking in the driveway of 1720 Ala Moana Blvd. near the ABC Store when she was approached from behind by an unknown male.
The suspect grabbed her purse, shoved her to the ground and fled, police said. The victim was taken to the hospital with multiple injuries.
Police are asking for anyone who may have witnessed or who may have information about the incident to call CrimeStoppers at 955-8300, or *CRIME on a cellular phone.
