Man charged with robbery
Prosecutors charged a 28-year-old man Tuesday night with second-degree robbery thanks to a witness to a purse-snatching that occurred Dec. 27.
Poker Moses, who has no local address, was arrested Monday for allegedly grabbing a woman’s purse that was sitting on a chair next to her at a restaurant.
Police said a witness came to her aid to stop the suspect, but the suspect used physical force against the witness and fled with the purse.
The witness then saw the suspect Monday at 1241 N. School St., in the same area as the restaurant, and called police.
Police arrested the suspect and charged him with second-degree robbery and outstanding warrants. Bail was set at $25,000.
