The Center for Korean Studies’ spring 2014 series will feature four English-subtitled films to focus on foreign residents in Korea and their challenges. There are nearly 1.5 million foreign residents changing Korea’s ethnocentric culture to a multi-ethnic and multicultural society. The four films are "He’s on Duty" (Feb. 18), "Where is Ronny…" (March 4), "Failan" (April 1) and "Punch" (April 22). Screenings begin at 6:30 p.m. in the auditorium of the Center for Korean Studies on the University of Hawaii at Manoa campus. The film series is free and open to the public.

"Madly in Love"
Episodes 27 and 28
Sunday, 6:30 p.m.: Although Yoo-jung overhears during his argument with his mother that Soo-hyeok is an illegitimate child, she tells him that she doesn’t care. Her understanding and care bring Soo-hyeok around, mending their relationship. Nan-cho hires Yong-hoon to seduce Eun-sook so she can get Moon-do away from her once and for all. But Yong-hoon and Eun-sook plan on turning the plan around on her. Things start looking up for Moo-yeol’s company.
Sunday, 7:45 p.m.: Moon-do is disgusted with Nan-cho when he finds out she paid Yong-hoon to seduce Eun-sook. He’s through with her. Nan-cho completely loses it and says it’ll only be over when she decides it’s over. Da-bin disappears and gives the whole family a scare. Sae-gyung finally tells Moo-yeol how she feels about him.
"A Word from Warm Heart"
Episodes 13 and 14
Monday, 7:45 p.m.: Sung-soo’s mother comes to Seoul for her surgery. Sung-soo moves back home with Yoon-jung. Min-soo takes care of Mrs. Chu during Mi-gyong’s absence. Min-soo makes a good impression on Eun-young’s family.
Tuesday, 7:45 p.m.: Jae-hak meets Eun-young when he goes to the restaurant where Min-soo works. Jae-hak asks Min-soo to arrange a meeting with Mi-gyong. Sung-soo congratulates Eun-young on getting a new boyfriend and offers to buy them dinner.
"My Love from the Star"
Episodes 8 and 9
Wednesday, 7:45 p.m.: Song-yi comes home from the hospital only to find out her place has been ransacked. Scared, she runs to Min-joon, and Min-joon has no choice but to let Song-yi stay at his place. Worried about Song-yi’s safety, Hee-kyung asks Sae-mi to stay with Song-yi.
Thursday, 7:45 p.m.: Min-joon refuses to go to the hospital, so Song-yi asks her friend how to bring his fever down. Song-yi stays up all night taking care of Min-joon. Sae-mi comes to see Min-joon, saying she has something to discuss with him about Song-yi.
"The Woman Who Married 3 Times"
Episodes 21 and 22
Friday, 7:45 p.m.: Chae-rin badmouths Seul-gi to Tae-won and tells him she regrets marrying him. Their marital problems grow bigger as they have more arguments. Joon-goo offers Dami money but Dami refuses.
Saturday, 7:45 p.m: Eun-soo finds out she’s five weeks pregnant. But when she sees Hyun-soo, she tells her sister that she’s not happy with her pregnancy. Chae-rin has another outburst with the housekeeper. She ruffles Tae-won’s feathers again.
