Senior hoops roster announced

The lineups for the Geremy Robinson Senior Basketball Classic have been announced.

Each team is comprised of 10 players, selected by the former University of Hawaii guard.

The public school team: LaChae McColor (Moanalua), Carly Kakuda (Kalani), Sheastel Tiumalu (Castle), Mich’lae Higa (Aiea), Mikaela Limper (Mililani), Penina Faumui (Farrington), Tavae Sina Sofa (Roosevelt), Valerie Wilson (Kaimuki), Sarah Liva (Mililani) and Shantell Arce (Kaiser).

The private school team: Cianna Ochoco (Maryknoll), Tiare Libarios-Moses (Sacred Hearts), Celina Pagan (Sacred Hearts), Alohi Robins-Hardy (Kamehameha), Maia Laboy (Maryknoll), Jade Botelho (‘Iolani), Siena Shupe (Maryknoll), Keau Fey (Punahou), Kelly Kuchenbecker (Le Jardin).

Practices will be held on March 1 at Koko Head District Park Gym from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for the public school team and 12:45 p.m. to 2 p.m. for the private school team.

The game will be played at Moanalua High School on March 2. The girls game will start at 4:30 p.m. and a halftime 3-point competition will be held. The boys slam dunk competition and senior game will follow the girls.

The boys roster will be announced after the state tournament.

"This is a chance for players here to show what Hawaii basketball is about," Robinson said. "They deserve way more exposure than they get right now."
