LIFE FOUNDATION GOES GLAM AT BENEFIT
1. A preview of Manoa Valley Theatre's upcoming production of "Rent" -- presented by musical director James Mares, left, and cast members Kim Anderson, Shawna Lynn Masuda, Keegan Wada and Buffy Wong, among others -- was one of the highlights of the Life Foundation's Red Dress Ball fundraiser March 1 in the Pikake Room at Blaisdell Center. The troupe shared two songs from the show, "I'll Cover You (Reprise)" and "Seasons of Love," with Wong receiving especially loud audi- ence response when she had the lead vocal in the latter. The MVT production is nearly sold out but tickets are available for the Life Foundation benefit performance March 28. For information, go to www.lifefoundation.org.
