Daylight saving time begins on mainland
Once again, it’s time for the mainland to "spring forward."
Daylight saving time arrived at 2 a.m. Sunday, except not in Hawaii.
Still, it’s a good time to put new batteries in warning devices such as smoke detectors and hazard warning radios.
The time change is not observed by Hawaii, most of Arizona, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, American Samoa, Guam and the Northern Marianas.
The time difference between Hawaii and the West Coast is now three hours. The East Coast is six hours ahead.
Daylight saving time ends Nov. 2.
