HPU softball team splits with Dominican
The Hawaii Pacific softball team split a doubleheader against Dominican on Sunday at Okita Field. The Sea Warriors dropped the first game 1-0 but bounced back with an 8-1 win in the nightcap.
Chandell Dacosin earned the win on the mound for HPU, while Dorian Acierto led the offense with a two hits, including a home run, and two RBIs.
UH sailing places fourth and 15th
The University of Hawaii co-ed sailing team placed fourth at the Port of Los Angeles Harbor Cup on Sunday. Host Cal Maritime won the 10-team, three-day regatta with 23 points.
» The UH women’s sailing team finished in 15th place at the Navy Women’s Intersectional on Sunday in Annapolis, Md. Yale won the 20-team regatta with a low of 145 points, while Hawaii finished with 295 points.
Soccer coaches to speak at QB Club
Michele Nagamine and Sergio Bolioli will speak at the Honolulu Quarterback Club luncheon Monday at Maple Garden restaurant.
Nagamine enters her fourth season as the University of Hawaii women’s soccer head coach. She will discuss the upcoming season and players.
Bolioli, head coach of the Major Island Soccer Organization, will explain the different divisions and the future of organized soccer in Hawaii.
Lunch begins at 11:30 a.m. and the cost is $15 per person.
