Brandon Roberts scored on a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the sixth and Kalani beat Roosevelt 4-3 on Thursday at Kahala district park.
Reece Kakugawa had the telling blow for the Falcons, lofting a 1-1 pitch into centerfield with one out and Roberts on third. The Rough Riders cut the ball off and Roberts, who moved from second to third on a passed ball after a leadoff double, scored easily.
Kalani tied the score in the fifth on Payton Awaya’s three-run, inside-the-park home run.
Roosevelt scored one run in the third and two in the fifth on two Kalani errors.
