Sedona show includes gems from around world
Sedona will present a "Crystals and Cupcakes" show from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, featuring gemstones and jewelry curated from the annual Tucson Gem and Mineral Show.
The show will include a wide selection of shungite, charoite and seraphinite stones from Russia, blue amber from Sumatra, lapis lazuli and aquamarine from Afghanistan, and more.
There will be handmade sterling silver and 14K gold jewelry from Go Jolly of Oregon, amber jewelry from Lithuania and Poland, and wire-wrapped crystals from Heaven and Earth of Vermont.
During the show, customers can watch crystal wire wrapping demos, experience power stone readings from Lisa Among, and crystal pendulum dowsing with Pamela Johnson. Cupcakes and refreshments will be served as customers shop for select stones and jewelry marked 50 to 75 percent off. A portion of proceeds from the event will be donated to the Hawaii Foodbank.

Quiksilver Board Room has opened its doors at Kahala Mall, featuring the official Wade Tokoro Board Room for serious surfers and watermen, along with surf fashion.
Tokoro is a noted surfboard shaper to the pros, whose boards are North Shore favorites.

Paul Mitchell discounts aid charities
Paul Mitchell the School Honolulu will be offering discounted hair and beauty services from 10 a.m. to
2 p.m. Sunday, dubbed Super Service Sunday.
Haircuts by the school’s students are $15, or $30 when performed by professionals.
Other services include hair color, manicures, pedicures, waxing, facials, makeup application and more.
The school’s aim is to raise $6,000 for 11 charities.

‘Divergent’ inspires makeup collection
Sephora will introduce an exclusive, limited-edition cosmetic collection inspired by the film “Divergent” at a one-day event during store hours Friday.
Head to any Sephora store to see the special-effects collection for eyes, nails, face and lips. Appointments are preferred to receive the “Divergent” smoky eye inspired by the film, but walk-ins are welcome.
The Ala Moana store will also feature the Sephora+Pantone Universe Radiant Orchid collection.
