Waipahu wins Oahu AJA baseball title
Zack Kometani’s three-run homer to left highlighted a four-run seventh and Waipahu held on for an 11-9 win over Pearl City in the Oahu AJA Baseball League championship game Tuesday at Hans L’Orange Park.
Waipahu came out of the loser’s bracket, with four wins in six days, three in the final three days of the tournament. The team will represent Oahu in the state championship April 5-6 in Lihue.
Kometani, the Waipahu catcher, finished with four RBIs in the game. Shaun Kiriu picked up the win and Chevas Numata came on in relief in the seventh to pick up the save, retiring all six batters in two innings.
2 Olympians host judo clinic at ‘Iolani
Olympic judo medalists Jimmy Pedro and Kayla Harrison will hold an open youth clinic for ages 7 and older Sunday at the ‘Iolani School gym.
Pedro is a two-time Olympic bronze medalist and coached the U.S. team at the 2012 Games. Harrison became the first American judoka to win Olympic gold when he did so at those London Olympics.
The pair also will be working with the Raiders’ judo teams next week. The clinic is $50 and runs from 1 to 5 p.m. To register, email judo@iolani.org.
State archery tournament Saturday
The Aloha State Archery Association hosts its state international round tournament Saturday at the Waipio Archery Range at Central Oahu Regional Park.
Registration and bow check is from 7 a.m. until 8:30 a.m. The tournament starts at 9 a.m.

Paddleboard registration open
Online registration for the 18th Molokai-2-Oahu Paddleboard World Championships, a 32-mile race across the Ka Iwi Channel on July 27, is open.
The race traditionally sells out in the first few weeks. The event is open to solo and two- or three-person team competitors in prone or stand-up paddleboard. For more information, go to Molokai2Oahu.com.
Polo season starts on April 6
The Hawaii Polo Club opens its 51st season on April 6, kicking off a playing schedule that concludes Sunday of Labor Day weekend.
The schedule includes four international matches, skydiving and musical entertainment. Highlighting the calendar are HPC matches against Argentina on May 18 and 25; against New Zealand on June 15 and 22; against Mexico on Aug. 10; and against India on Aug. 24 and 31.
Gates open at 11 a.m. for picnics, with play starting at 2 p.m. Admission is $10 for open seating and $25 for clubhouse seating.

Muay Thai grandmaster at seminar
Grandmaster Surachai Sirisute, recognized as the "Godfather of Muay in America" is the featured boxer at May Muay Thai Madness, May 3-4, at Pacific Palisades Community Center.
The seminar runs from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. both days and is open to all styles and skill levels. Rates run from $50 for a half-day trial to $125 for two-day adult competition; other rates available for two days and ages 10-18.

Ford Island Bridge 10K is on April 5
Registration for the 17th Ford Island Bridge 10K Run, a 6.2-mile event on April 5, is open.
The run starts at 7 a.m., goes across the Ford Island Bridge to Ford Island and back. Free parking is available at Rainbow Marina. The deadline to enter is Friday.
