Store in Kalihi hit by pair of robbers
Police are searching for two men who robbed a Kalihi store Saturday night.
The men entered a business establishment at about 10:50 p.m., displayed a dangerous instrument and left with stolen property, according to police records.
A 62-year-old woman reported the incident to police.
Also in Kalihi on Saturday, a homeless woman allegedly stole items from a store she had been banned from entering, Honolulu police said.
According to police records, a 37-year-old woman who has no local address entered the store at about noon and stole items. Police located her near 1030 Kohou St. about 30 minutes later and arrested her on suspicion of second-degree burglary.
Suspect captured in October theft
Security video footage helped solve a nearly 5-month-old theft case early Saturday morning, Honolulu police said.
A 49-year-old homeless man allegedly left a business at about 2:15 p.m. Oct. 27 with items he didn’t pay for, according to police records.
Police later identified the man, who has no local address, based on surveillance video, located him at 4 a.m. Saturday near 2929 Varsity Circle in Moiliili and arrested him on suspicion of second-degree theft.
Second man held in Salt Lake shooting
Police charged a second suspect in a shooting incident in Salt Lake on Thursday.
The victim, identified as a 42-year-old man, said he was entering his home at about 12:30 a.m. when one of the suspects fired a gun in his direction. Police arrested 28-year-old Anthony Milikini of Salt Lake later that morning.
The second suspect, 31-year-old Joseph Woo, who does not have a local address, was arrested Saturday.
The men were charged with first-degree terroristic threatening and firearm violations. Bail for each was set at $75,000.
