A fire that caused $15,000 in damage to an Aiea residence Sunday afternoon was intentionally set, according to a Honolulu Fire Department investigation.
The fire, initially reported at 4:12 p.m., was contained to the bottom floor of a two-story home occupied by two separate households, said HFD spokesman Capt. Terry Seelig.
The fire was brought under control within 10 minutes, and no injuries were reported. Two people who were living in the unit were displaced.
