WOMEN’S GYMNASTICS
>> Randi Lau, Thompson Academy ’11: The Penn State junior scored 9.825 on vault, 9.850 on the floor exercise and 8.750 on the balance beam at the Big Ten Championships on Saturday, helping the Nittany Lions finish fifth. Penn State will host one of the six NCAA regionals on April 5.
>> Jenna Frowein, Punahou ’12: The Stanford sophomore earned 9.800 on the floor to help the Cardinal finish second at the Pac-12 Championships. Stanford is the No. 2 seed at the NCAA Baton Rouge, La., regional on April 5.
>> Tiana Montell, St. Joseph ’11: The UC Davis junior scored 9.650 on the balance beam and 9.725 on the floor to help the Aggies finish second at the MPSF championships on Saturday. UC Davis is the sixth seed in the NCAA’s Arkansas regional on April 5.

>> Kayla Shimoda, Punahou ’11: The Columbia (N.Y.) University hit a walk-off grand slam in a 12-9 win over Iona on Saturday. Shimodo finished 4-for-8 with two homers and seven RBIs in a doubleheader sweep of the Gaels.
>> Courtney Senas, Mililani ’10: The Florida State center fielder finished 4-for-8 with a triple, homer, three walks and four runs scored in a three-game sweep of Boston College.

MEN’S WRESTLING
>> David Terao, Mid-Pacific ’11: The American University sophomore finished 2-2 in the 125-pound class at the NCAA championships, advancing as far as the quarterfinals before losing on Friday. Terao, the No. 10 seed, finished the year 34-10 overall and is 62-24 in his career.
>> Zack Hernandez, Punahou ’12: The Columbia (N.Y.) University freshman competed in the NCAA championships for the first time, losing to the No. 12 seed and the No. 5 seed at 184 pounds on Thursday and Friday.
