Iron and Blood, a new line of men’s accessories inspired by an industrial aesthetic, is looking for a little love online.
The brand founded by Hawaii brothers Miles and Zen Endo has launched a Kickstarter campaign that ends April 29. Funds raised will help finance the first production run of three inaugural pieces: an Iron and Blood ring, tie clip and money clip.
Pieces are made of silver or bronze, to which a natural patina is applied for an oxidized dark finish.
The project started while Miles Endo was studying metal machining at the Rhode Island School of Design and created a ring from a piece of sand-casted sprue. Snooping on his brother online, Zen Endo was intrigued by the ring, and the two worked together to refine the design while creating other pieces using the same industrial look.
At last glance the brothers had exceeded their goal of $7,500 by $773, but they continue to welcome contributions that start at $1. A donation of $35 or more gets you the tie clip; $60 or more, the money clip; and $100 or more, the ring. Those who pledge $175 or more receive the Gentleman’s Kit of all three.
