>> Robert Kahana, Campbell ’11: The Kansas right-hander pitched 51/3 innings, allowing one run on six hits with two walks and a strikeout in a no-decision as the Jayhawks lost 5-3 to Oklahoma State on Saturday.
>> Dane Fujinaka, Mid-Pacific ’11: The Sacramento State catcher singled, drew three walks, scored three times and drove in a run in a 7-6 win over No. 4 Oregon State on Monday. Fujinaka went 3-for-6 with two walks, a run and an RBI to help the Hornets take two of three over Utah Valley over the weekend to improve to 12-3 in the Western Athletic Conference.
>> Kewby Meyer, Kamehameha ’11: The Nevada left fielder went 6-for-13 with a double, two runs and four RBIs to help the Wolf Pack win two of three against Fresno State over the weekend.
>> Kolten Yamaguchi, Konawaena ’11: The Pepperdine catcher hit his second home run of the season in a 3-2 loss to San Francisco on Saturday in the Waves’ only loss of the series.
>> Reyn Sugai, University ’11: The Temple third baseman went 5-for-15 with a double and five RBIs to help the Owls win two of three against Connecticut over the weekend.
>> Tanner Nishioka, ‘Iolani ’13: The Pomona-Pitzer center fielder went 7-for-13 with a double, two walks, four runs, three RBIs and three stolen bases in a three-game sweep of Occidental (Calif.) over the weekend.
>> Ryan Yamane, Punahou ’11: The Northern Colorado middle infielder went 5-for-13 with a double, two runs, and two RBIs as the Bears won one of three games against Grand Canyon over the weekend.
>> Jensen Park, ‘Iolani ’11: The UNC outfielder was 3-for-14 with a run and four RBIs against Grand Canyon.
>> Roleen Himuro, Punahou ’11: The Willamette (Ore.) outfielder went 6-for-13 with a double, two triples, three runs and six RBIs in a three-game sweep of Whitman (Wash.) over the weekend.
>> Scott Peters, Punahou ’11: The Cal Lutheran junior tossed eight innings of one-run ball, earning the win in a 10-3 win over La Verne on Saturday to lock up the No. 1 seed heading into SCIAC round-robin play. Peters allowed seven hits and one walk with five strikeouts to improve to 5-3 for the season.
>> Landry Kiyabu, Hawaii Baptist ’11: The Cal Luthern reliever retired all four batters he faced to improve to 3-0 for the season in a 7-4 win over La Verne in the first game of a doubleheader on Saturday.
>> Gabriel Gunter, King Kekaulike ’13: The Cal Lutheran outfielder went 2-for-9 with a double, walk, run scored and three RBIs in a three-game sweep of La Verne.
>> Tiras Koon, ‘Iolani ‘ 11: The Willamette (Ore.) junior hit two homers and finished 5-for-12 with three runs and three RBIs in four games over the weekend.
>> Kian Kurokawa, Hilo ’13: The Puget Sound reliever picked up his sixth save of the season, allowing one walk in two scoreless innings with two strikeouts in a 9-7 win over Pacific (Ore.) in the second game of a doubleheader on Friday. Kurokawa pitched twice in the series, allowing one hit in 32/3 innings with three strikeouts.
>> Nickolas Alarcio, Mid-Pacific ’12: The Puget Sound outfielder went 3-for-7 with four walks and four runs scored in a three-game sweep of Pacific (Ore.) over the weekend.
>> Kaelen Hirashiki, Maryknoll ’12: The Saint Martin’s (Wash.) second baseman hit .400 (6-for-15) with a double, two walks, four runs and two RBIs to help the Saints win three of four against Montana State-Billings over the weekend.
>> Travis Shaw, Saint Louis ’11: The Saint Martin’s (Wash.) third baseman extended his hitting streak to 12 games and had five hits, including a home run, three walks, two runs scored and three RBIs against Montana State-Billings.
>> Mike Egami, Moanalua ’11: The Concordia (Ore.) left fielder went 4-for-5 with a home run, five runs and five RBIs in a 20-18 win over Oregon Tech to complete a four-game sweep on Sunday. Egami finished 7-for-15 with two doubles, a homer and seven runs scored in the series.
>> Ryan McMonigle, Kailua ’11: The Concordia (Ore.) two-way player earned a four-inning save in Game 1 of the series against Oregon Tech on Saturday, allowing two earned runs on six hits with no walks and three strikeouts in a 13-11 win. McMonigle went 2-for-8 at the plate with two runs and two RBIs in the series.
>> Trey Odo, ‘Iolani ’12: The Claremont-Mudd-Scripps right-hander pitched the final three innings of a 12-3 win over Caltech on Monday, allowing three runs on six hits with no walks and two strikeouts.
>> Jesse Crabtree, Punahou ’12: The Claremont-Mudd-Scripps sophomore recorded the final five outs of a 10-1 loss to Redlands on April 11, allowing one hit and one walk with two strikeouts.
>> Jason Rosen, Punahou ’13: The Portland freshman had his first collegiate hit and scored a run as a pinch hitter in a 15-10 loss to Oregon on April 8.
WOMEN’S GYMNASTICS
>> Jenna Frowein, Punahou ’12: The Stanford sophomore was named to the All-Pac-12 academic first team (3.93) last Monday. Frowein finished 37th on the floor exercise with a score of 9.750 in the semifinals of the NCAA championships on Friday.
>> Randi Lau, Thompson Academy ’11: The Penn State junior finished 34th on the floor exercise with a 9.825, 35th on vault with a 9.750, and 41st on the beam with a 9.100 in the semifinals of the NCAA championships on Friday.
>> Carson Tabiolo, Moanalua ’11: The Michigan State junior was named to the All-Big Ten academic first team (3.869 GPA) last week.
SOFTBALL
>> Kayla Shimoda, Punahou ’11: The Columbia (N.Y.) University second baseman went 7-for-14 with a homer, three runs and three RBIs to help the Lions win three of four against Cornell over the weekend. Columbia needs to win at least three of four against Penn next weekend to win its division and play for the Ivy League championship.
>> Katie Manuma, Campbell ’10: The Brigham Young senior hit a two-run homer in a 7-3 win over Weber State on Friday.
MEN’S TRACK AND FIELD
>> Devin Jenkins, Kapolei ’12: The Southern University sophomore finished second in the 200-meter dash with a time of 20.32 seconds at the LSU Alumni Gold meet on Saturday.
>> Jonathan Padron, Damien ’10: The Occidental (Calif.) senior finished second in the 100 meters with a season-best time of 10.80 seconds at the SCIAC Multi-Dual 3 on Saturday. It was Padron’s second race since returning from a hamstring injury.
WOMEN’S TRACK AND FIELD
>> Brigitte Russo, Punahou ’11: The Lewis and Clark sophomore took third in the hammer with a distance of 40.79 meters and fourth in the shot with a put of 11.27 meters at the Lewis and Clark Invite on Saturday.
>> Sophie Curatilo, Moanalua ’11: The Seattle University junior finished 12th in the 1,500 meters with a time of 4:37.07 at the Mt. Sac Relays on Friday.
MEN’S VOLLEYBALL
>> Josh Taylor, Punahou ’11: The Pepperdine outside hitter had 14 kills, seven digs, three block assists, two assists, a solo block and an ace in a four-set win over Long Beach State in the quarterfinals of the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation tournament on Saturday. The second-seeded Waves advance to play No. 3 seed Stanford on Thursday.
>> Taylor Crabb, Punahou ’10: The Long Beach State senior ended his collegiate career hitting .288 with a match-high 20 kills, four digs and a block assist in a loss to the Waves.
>> Jaylen Reyes, Kamehameha ’11: The BYU libero had a team-high five digs in a three-set sweep of Southern California on Saturday in the MPSF tourney. The top-seeded Cougars advance to play fourth-seeded UC Santa Barbara on Thursday.
>> Micah Christenson, Kamehameha ’11: The Southern Cal setter finished with 29 assists, five digs and two kills in a loss to BYU.
>> Maddison McKibbin, Punahou ’09: The USC outside hitter ended his collegiate career with five kills in eight swings and two digs in a loss to the Cougars.
