Nordstrom welcomes Kate Moss collection
The Kate Moss Topshop collection will hit the floor at Nordstrom on April 30.
The British model and fashion icon joined with the brand’s design and buying teams to deliver this spring/summer 2014 collection, an eclectic mix of pieces showcasing Moss’ eclectic vintage style.
Key design categories begin with Balearic dressing, a reflection of Kate’s love for the Balearic Islands, as interpreted through embroidered smock-tops, silk blouses and a white kaftan.
Cocktail hour captures her flirtatious and sexy side, with hemlines either slashed at the thigh or falling to the floor. Garments are accented with vintage effects, opulent trims and detailing such as cobweb beadwork, sequin bead fringing and crepe satin splicing.
Tailoring Noir introduces a selection of menswear-inspired tailoring including tuxes and trouser suits in black and black gold metallic mixes, a bias-cut liquid metallic lame dress and lame shirts for evening.
Pajama dressing is another theme, with silk satin prints available in high-waisted trousers, blouses and a pajama coat. Prices run $90 to $690.

Kimo bear to help ease keiki cancer patients
Hilo Hattie has created a Kimo bear that Kapiolani Medical Center for Women and Children will give to every keiki cancer patient undergoing chemotherapy this year.
The bears are tagged with the message, "I’m only a little bear but I’m very brave, just like you. I like to play and laugh and listen to stories. I really like cookies and I really, really like hugs. I will always be here for you."
Kapiolani CEO Martha Smith said the gift will help provide emotional support throughout treatment.
