I have seen many Korean celebrity magazines and other publication startups come and go in the United States. Recently, I found a pair of books that is pretty comprehensive on the K-pop scene.
The books are the 2014 "Stars of K-Pop: Girls Edition" and "Stars of K-Pop: Boys Edition," which are available in the U.S. via Watermark Publishing, a local company. Each contains top K-pop artists’ vital statistics, interview transcripts and hundreds of full-color photographs.
Together, they are a unique English-version almanac of favorite K-pop groups. Separately the books retail for $24.95; the price for both is $39.95. Visit www.bookshawaii.net or www.starsofkpop.com for more information.
