Two men armed with guns who robbed a bank in Salt Lake remained at large Tuesday night.
At 10:29 a.m. Tuesday the two masked men entered the American Savings Bank branch at 848 Ala Lilikoi St. One wielded a shotgun while the other brandished a handgun, according to CrimeStoppers. Police said the men demanded money from a teller and fled on foot.
Two schools in the area went into lockdown as police investigated the bank robbery.
The lockdown at Aliamanu Elementary and Aliamanu Middle Schools was lifted at 12:50 p.m., according to Department of Education spokeswoman Dara Young.
The first suspect is described as 5 feet 10 inches to 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighing 130 to 150 pounds. He was wearing a gray hooded jacket, ski mask and dark long pants at the time of the robbery.
The second suspect is described as 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing 130 pounds. He was wearing a brown hooded jacket, blue jeans and a red mask.
