Instrument donations keep music alive
The Music for Life Foundation is collecting used or new musical instruments to support music education.
The third annual drive, dubbed "Da Beat Goes On …," collects and then donates the instruments to underserved children in Hawaii schools.
Drop off musical instrument donations at the following locations on May 24:
>> 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Harry’s Music Store, 3270 Waialae Ave.
>> 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Hard Rock Cafe, 280 Beachwalk St.
>> 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Pearlridge Farmers Market at the Pearlridge Center parking lot near Sears, 98-1005 Moanalua Road
The nonprofit Music for Life Foundation’s mission is to bring continued awareness to the importance of keeping music alive in school programs and curricula. Donations are tax-deductible.
