Makaha man arrested after stabbing
A 21-year-old Makaha man was arrested for investigation of attempted murder Wednesday after a stabbing near the McDonald’s restaurant in Waianae, police said.
Officers arrived at the restaurant at 85-770 Farrington Highway about 2:10 p.m. and arrested the suspect.
The city Emergency Services Department said a 44-year-old man was taken to the hospital in serious but stable condition with cuts to his back, elbow and rib cage.
Shots fired, suspect nabbed in Kaaawa
Police arrested a 30-year-old Kaaawa man after he allegedly fired three shots into the air Tuesday night near his home.
The incident occurred between 5 and 9 p.m. Officers arrested the man on suspicion of first-degree reckless endangerment.
Moped thief allegedly caught on video
A 23-year-old Waianae man used surveillance footage to find out who stole his moped May 22, which led to a suspect being arrested and charged.
It turned out to be an acquaintance, police said.
The 18-year-old suspect allegedly took the moped from in front of the victim’s home between 12:30 and 2:30 a.m. May 22.
Jessten Anduha-Curlee was charged with second-degree theft Tuesday. Bail was set at $11,000.
