UH fourth in coed sailing semis
Light winds in Annapolis, Md., limited the first day of the Intercollegiate Sailing Association Coed National Championship to just four races on Tuesday and Hawaii ended the day fourth in its semifinal bracket.
Two races in the A division and two in the B division were completed before the wind on the St. Mary’s River dissipated. At that point UH had 22 points, trailing Yale (eight points), Bowdoin (18) and Brown (21) in the 18-team West bracket.
The semifinals continue Wednesday, conditions permitting. The top nine finishers in the East and West semifinals advance to the finals scheduled to begin Thursday.
