Medical examiner IDs motorcyclist killed in accident
The Honolulu Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the 35-year-old Kailua man who was killed Sunday on Kaukonahua Road in Wahiawa as Airrain Edwards.
The cause of death was multiple blunt force injuries that occurred after the motorcycle ran onto a grassy median, ejecting Edwards, who slid into an incoming car.
Police said the motorcycle was traveling north at a high rate of speed when Edwards apparently lost control of the vehicle. Neither of the two occupants of the car was injured.
Edwards was taken in extremely critical condition to Wahiawa General Hospital, where he died.
