Kaka’ako Agora, a newly created public-space project devoted to arts and culture, launched an eclectic series of programs on arts and cultural affairs this month.

Located in a warehouse at 441 Cooke St., Kaka’ako Agora will play host to informal musical and theatrical productions and architectural and city planning presentations. The project was conceived by Kamehameha Schools, owner of the site, and Interisland Terminal, a collective that presents installations and exhibits in art, design and film.

Kaka’ako Agora’s "June-kaboom" calendar opens at 8 p.m. Sunday with a screening of the documentary film "If You Build It."

That will be followed by a 6 p.m. Monday master class, "Acting Is Breathing," presented by Kumu Kahua Theatre.
