Mall event seeks keiki entrepreneurs
Windward Mall is accepting applications for its third annual Kids, Inc., keiki-run pop-up event in July.
Budding entrepreneurs ages 6 to 15 with business plans may apply at www.facebook.com/ WindwardMall through June 30. Children 12 and younger will need a parent or guardian to submit an entry.
Participants may offer a service, create a product from scratch or resell items bought from a wholesaler. Parental involvement should be minimal so participants can learn about business and entrepreneurship.
Business plans go online for public voting July 1 to 11. The 12 with the most votes will be announced July 12, and the winners will have the opportunity to set up shop at Windward Mall from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 26. Keiki participants keep 100 percent of their earnings.
