New York-based hospitality and entertainment group GCA Leisure LLC has announced plans to rebuild the Moulin Rouge, the famed resort that opened in 1955 as the first desegregated casino. GCA’s plans call for a 21st-century upgrade that will include music- and film-recording venues, a digital content creation facility and an "institute of learning."

Also planned is an online and mobile-gaming facet. A temporary mobile casino recently operated for eight hours on the property, preserving its gaming license.

Charcoal Room: The Charcoal Room steakhouse has opened at Palace Station. It’s the second Charcoal Room in Las Vegas after the original at Santa Fe Station and replaces the Broiler.

QUESTION: Is The Quad being renamed again?

ANSWER: It’s been just over a year since the former Imperial Palace was renamed The Quad, but a recent $2.2 billion property transfer from Caesars Entertainment to Caesars Growth Partners that included The Quad gave rise to speculation about a possible renaming. As of now there’s been no public discussion of it.
