Allegiant Air flight forced to turn back
An Allegiant Air flight from Honolulu to Los Angeles returned to Honolulu Airport on Monday following an unexplained loss of cabin pressure.
The Boeing 757 aircraft left Honolulu at 1:40 p.m. but turned back a half-hour later.
No injuries were reported.
The flight has been rescheduled for Tuesday at 5:55 p.m., according to the airline.
H-2 lane will close for rail construction
As rail construction ramps up around the H-1/ H-2 freeway interchange, road crews will have to close a southbound lane on the H-2 overnight near that merge, project officials say.
The southbound lane closure will take place 9 p.m. Monday to 4 a.m. Tuesday and then repeat from 9 p.m. Tuesday to 4 a.m. Wednesday, according to a Honolulu Authority for Rapid Transportation release.
The closures are needed as crews prepare to erect columns in the freeway medians, according to HART.
"We ask the drivers for their continued patience and understanding during the work and to be mindful of our crews stationed along the freeway," HART CEO Dan Grabauskas said in the statement.
