Sweet, shiny sentiments for the Fourth
In time for the Fourth of July, Jenn Lee has added a line of patriotic pendants to her Bakery Charms line of polymer clay pieces that resemble desserts in miniature. Selections include an American flag cake, patriotic slice cake, red-white-and-blue shave ice and a freedom popsicle. Each piece is $15, available at bakerycharms.com.
Isle scents enhance spa line
Kauai-based Malie Organics has expanded its selection of spa treatments with the addition of therapeutic bath soaks created with natural Hawaii and Pacific sea salts.
The bath soaks include an organic blend of kukui and macadamia oils enhanced with such soothing botanicals as aloe, bamboo leaf and green tea extracts, formulated to moisturize and nourish the skin. Some of the aroma variations contain Hawaii red clay or Moroccan lava clay to pull toxins from the skin.
All are made in small batches to preserve the natural scents and therapeutic properties of the botanical oils and plant hydrosols. The five Hawaii scents are Koke’e, Pikake, Plumeria, Mango Nectar and Coconut Vanilla.
The cost is $45 for 18.5 ounces, available on Oahu at Malie Waikiki at the Royal Hawaiian Hotel, Oasis on Waikiki Beach Walk, the Spa at Trump Waikiki, Spa Halekulani and the Moana Lani Spa at the Moana Surfrider.
