Stolen vehicle found after attack on officer
Police on Friday recovered a stolen car used by a suspect who allegedly tried to run down a police sergeant near Red Hill on Thursday.
Police found the gold-colored 1990 four-door Toyota sedan at 5:30 a.m. in the Pearlridge Center parking lot, but the suspect remains at large.
The vehicle was stolen Thursday, police said.
A police sergeant saw the Toyota at about 11:15 a.m. Thursday on Moanalualani Place on Red Hill and stopped to talk to the driver.
The suspect refused to cooperate, got into the sedan, made a U-turn and drove straight toward the sergeant, police said. The sergeant fired one shot and jumped out of the way, injuring his hip. The suspect fled the scene.
Police described the suspect as a bald man who was wearing sunglasses and a long-sleeve orange shirt.

Suspect sought in stabbing at nightclub
Police opened a second-degree attempted murder investigation and were looking for a suspect after a 23-year-old man reported being stabbed at a Keeaumoku Street nightclub early Thursday morning.
The incident happened at 5:45 a.m.
Police said the victim, who reported the stabbing, did not require hospitalization.
Police said the suspect fled the scene.
Son accused of assaulting dad is charged
An argument between a father and son in a Wahiawa home ended with the 27-year-old son charged with assault.
Police said during an argument, the suspect allegedly grabbed and injured the jaw of his 74-year-old father, who had a restraining order against his son.
The suspect was charged Thursday with second-degree assault. Bail was set at $2,000.
2 arrested on suspicion of robbing store
Police arrested a man and woman who allegedly robbed a Kalihi supermarket Friday night.
Police said the man, 50, and the woman, 25, entered the Times Super Market, allegedly armed with a dangerous instrument, and took merchandise at about 6:38 p.m.
Police arrested the pair at 7 p.m. Friday nearby on suspicion of first-degree robbery.
