About 100 volunteers participated in “A Day on the Land” workday Saturday to remove fence posts, stumps and invasive plants, and replant native greenery at Hawea Heiau and Keawawa Wetland in Hawaii Kai. Volunteers gather around just-planted palm trees as Lisa Hirnano Ray, left, leads a blessing.
