Crews next week will continue work on Kapiolani Boulevard to install a new 12-inch water main.
Beginning Monday through Thursday, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., traffic modifications will include:
>> Closure of the far left Diamond Head-bound lane of Kapiolani Boulevard at the McCully Street intersection.
>> Closure of at least one Ewa-bound lane of Kapiolani Boulevard at the McCully Street intersection.
>> Modification of the left-turn lane into Wai?kiki from the Ewa-bound direction of Kapiolani Boulevard at the McCully Street intersection.
>> Closure of at least one lane in both directions of McCully Street at the Kapiolani Boulevard intersection.
There will be no work Friday in observance of Statehood Day.
The Board of Water Supply said its contractor is replacing about 2,800 feet of a 12-inch water main installed in 1938 and about 1,000 feet of an 8-inch water main installed in 1953.
