Firm wins top prize for catering benefit
Creations in Catering, a full-service Oahu catering company, took a top national honor in July at the National Association for Catering and Events Convention in Baltimore.
The company won the Best Off-Premise Catered Event, Budget Over $100,000, for its work on the "Sharing Memorable Moments with Emme & Friends" benefit for the Filipino Community Center.
The award noted the company’s event planning, food and beverage presentation and overall quality. The catering staff worked with chefs Alan Wong, Roy Yamaguchi, DK Kodama,Philippe Padovani and Paul Rivera and their staffs to organize a tasting of Filipino-inspired dishes and wine pairings.
This is the fourth NACE award for Creations in Catering. The company took top honors in the same category in 1999 and 2011, and won the Catered Event of the Year, On-Premise, award in 2009.
