Wise’s trial is scheduled for Oct. 6 in Kauai Circuit Court.
Motorcyclist killed on Ala Moana Boulevard
A man in his 20s was killed early Tuesday in a motorcycle crash on Ala Moana Boulevard near Aloha Tower.
The crash occurred at 2:19 a.m., according to Emergency Medical Services, and the man, who was wearing a helmet, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said the motorcyclist was in the Ewa-bound lanes when he struck the median curb and a signpost, landing in some bushes in the median near the Punchbowl Street intersection with Ala Moana.
Speed may have been a factor in the accident, police said.
Police closed part of Ala Moana Boulevard for a little more than two hours as traffic officers investigated. The lanes reopened by 4:53 a.m.
The crash marks Oahu’s 39th traffic fatality this year, the same tally at this time last year.
