» Hawaii Energy, a ratepayer-funded energy conservation and efficiency program, raised a combined $3,000 for Oahu, Maui and Big Island food banks since October through a refrigerator recycling program. A Page B5 story Thursday reported the $3,000 was raised since 2011.
Clarification:
» State Department of Education officials say they do not plan to eliminate special education positions in anticipation of budget restrictions, as reported in a Page B1 story Thursday. Instead, the department says, it is reducing $9.15 million in funding set aside for salaries for hard-to-fill special education positions.
