Top school librarian hails from Hale Kula Elementary

Michelle Colte, library media specialist at Hale Kula Elementary School in Wahiawa, was honored Wednesday at a school ceremony for being named School Librarian of the Year by School Library Journal. Colte was chosen over 91 other librarians from public and private campuses across the nation. The award recognizes K-12 library professionals for outstanding achievement and the exemplary use of 21st-century tools to engage students in learning.
