La Pietra-Hawaii School for Girls faculty member Shari Lynn, left, introduced two of her students, Jaresha Gladney and Amanda Apa, to singer Jimmy Borges at the sold-out Sunset Jazz concert on the Diamond Head campus Sunday. Lynn serves as emcee and featured female vocalist at the school’s annual fundraising concerts, and Borges is her charismatic co-headliner. It’s become a tradition for Lynn’s best students to perform, and Gladney and Apa did her proud with their showcase numbers.
