BWC honors for Hawaii’s Kenui

University of Hawaii’s Storm Kenui was named the Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week by the Big West Conference on Monday. The sophomore from Waipahu scored a goal in Hawaii’s 3-1 win against Eastern Washington this past Friday and then added an assist as UH defeated Montana 2-1 on Sunday.

Kenui, who leads the team and is tied for second in the conference with four goals scored, recorded a goal or assist in each game of Hawaii’s four-match road trip. The team went 3-1 on the 12-day trip.

Hawaii hosts its annual alumnae match this Saturday at the Waipio Peninsula Soccer Stadium, with kickoff set for 5 p.m.
