Gary Kawamura, 65, is a weightlifter who has hopes of competing in the 2017 World Masters Games to break world records for his age class. A longtime weightlifter, he has battled health issues in recent years, such as a stroke and sciatica, but hopes to motivate others to stay fit even at an older age. Kawamura is pictured doing an Olympic squat with 242 pounds, almost twice his body weight.
