Tasty bibimbap will take stage
Watch a bibimbap demonstration and enjoy a free sample when the Wanderers of Bibimbap come to town this week.
The Bibimbap Backpackers, a group of 10, travel the world promoting the nutritional value of the Korean staple and revealing the secrets of its taste.
See the group 4 to 6 p.m. Friday at Foodland, 4850 Kapolei Parkway in Kapolei, and at 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Center for Korean Studies at the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
Indian chefs to give demo
Chefs from the Mumbai, India, Taj Hotel chain will present a demonstration of Mughal cuisine at Kapiolani Community College.
The event will take place 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Monday at the Culinary Institute of the Pacific auditorium in the Ohia building.
Admission is free but seating is limited. Call 734-9499 to reserve a spot.
Evening’s topic is agriculture
Learn about agriculture in Hawaii and the farming experience at a GoFarm Hawai‘i AgCurious seminar, 5:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Leeward Community College.
Attendees will receive applications for the GoFarm Hawaii beginning farmer training program to be held later.
The free seminar will be held in the GT building, Room 105.
