Fans of Takoyaki Yama-chan at Shirokiya in Ala Moana Center will be happy to know the street-style takoyaki specialist has found a second home at Don Quijote on Kaheka Street, where a little food court focuses on fast, inexpensive fare.
In addition to the bite-size octopus snack that starts at $4.50 for five pieces, you’ll find enhanced versions with cheese, kim chee or a green onion-mayo-ponzu combo.
Those who cannot survive on octopus alone may add okonomiyaki, yakisoba and omelet fried noodles, starting at $4.90 for miniature portions, or $7.90 to $8.90 for regular.
The opening comes at a good time because construction at Ala Moana is making parking difficult. Now you can get your fix without detours.
