Bernina to offer 8 Series classes

Bernina of America will host "All About Eight," an event focusing on its 8 Series machines from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday at the 670 Auahi St. store.

Brand educator Debbie Lashbrook will lead attendees through three projects using the Bernina 8 Series machines.

The cost is $69.95 for both days and includes supplies, lunch, door prizes and project instructions. To register, call 536-6044 or stop by the store. Space is limited.

Hallmark Chrismas ornaments available

It’s not too soon to start thinking about Christmas. Amy’s Hallmark will be hosting its annual Keepsake Ornament Debut event Saturday through Oct. 12, introducing the 2014 Hallmark Keepsake Ornaments line that includes nearly 400 new ornaments. More than 100 will be released at the event, with limited-time offers.

The line includes ornaments to celebrate baby’s first Christmas, a couple’s first holiday together, and Christmas in a new home. Keepsake Ornaments also recognize a variety of special interests and passions, such as cooking, fishing, golfing and grilling, and occupations such as teaching and health care.
