Skye Inakoshi posted three red numbers this week to top Hawaii’s entrants in the Warrior Princeville Makai Invitational on Kauai.
Inakoshi, playing as an individual, carded four birdies and an eagle in Wednesday’s final round to card a 2-under par 70. He opened the tournament with a 71 on Monday, shot a 70 on Tuesday and closed the event tied for 21st at 5-under 211, matching the best three-round score in his UH career.
The Mid-Pacific graduate led UH in the season-opening Alister MacKenzie Invitational in Northern California and fired his season-best round of 67 in the Bill Cullum Invitational on Oct. 20.
As a team, UH finished 15th at Princeville while Georgia Tech ran away with the title at 55 under. Pepperdine’s Frederick Wedel earned medalist honors at 20-under 196.
