Police found Isaac Abrojena in a stolen pickup truck and arrested him.
The 2004 Ford Ranger was stolen Oct. 27 from an Ocean View home, police said.
Police found a sawed-off shotgun inside the truck, along with ammunition, marijuana and drug paraphernalia, including paraphernalia associated with crystal methamphetamine use, police said.
Detectives charged Abrojena with unauthorized use of a propelled vehicle, fraudulent use of license plates, four firearm offenses and two counts each of promoting dangerous drugs and possessing illegal drug paraphernalia.
His bail was set at $14,250.
Beach on Maui will be closed all day Tuesday
Hookipa Beach Park on Maui will be closed Tuesday for installation of a new lifeguard tower, the Maui Department of Parks and Recreation said in a news release.
The new tower is being placed near the pavilions on the Haiku side of the park.
A crane to install the new tower will be positioned in the middle of the one-way road that runs through the park.
Because of the lack of room to provide a safe detour during the installation, the park will be closed to the public, the release said.
The park is expected to reopen Wednesday.
