Holiday vegan meal is offered
Vegans can celebrate Thanksgiving with ease at Soto Mission of Hawaii’s feast, noon to 3 p.m. Thanksgiving Day.
The meal, prepared by Satori Hawaii, is made with organic and local ingredients: home-style vegan turkey; shiitake mushroom ginger gravy; orange-zest cranberry sauce; wild rice, quinoa and herb-marinated grilled vegetable stuffing; carrot muffin; and pumpkin creme brulee with coconut cream.
Cost is $20, for dine-in or takeout. The mission is at 1708 Nuuanu Ave.

Series features dairy’s products
Sheraton Waikiki chef Colin Hazama continues his "Table to Farm" series with a focus on the products of Naked Cow Dairy.
At 6:30 p.m. Dec. 5, Hazama will present a six-course meal featuring the farm’s butters, cheeses and cream, served at the hotel’s Edge of Waikiki restaurant.
The next morning, at 10 a.m. Dec. 6, guests will ride from the hotel to Waianae with Hazama to visit the farm. The chef will do a cooking demonstration on-site and serve a picnic lunch. Guests will return to Waikiki at 3 p.m.
Dinner cost is $103, $133 with wine pairing; dinner, farm tour and picnic is $170, $200 with wines.
