4 suspects nabbed in assault on man
Police arrested four suspects after a man chasing an alleged cellphone robber was jumped and assaulted by two men in Waipahu on Monday night, police said.
The victim, 35, told police one of the suspects took his cellphone and ran away at about 11 p.m. The man chased the suspect, but two other suspects, waiting in a vehicle, assaulted him. They then jumped into a vehicle driven by a fourth man and fled the scene, police said.
Officers located the four suspects — two 18-year-old men, a 17-year-old boy and a 19-year-old man — and arrested them, police said.
