St. Thomas Aquinas tops Chaminade in OT
Alyson Brennan scored a game-high 32 points as St. Thomas Aquinas defeated Chaminade 84-77 in overtime of an Oahu Thanksgiving Classic game at the St. Francis School gym Wednesday.
Brennan completed the double-double with 12 rebounds for the Lady Spartans (2-1); she also hit the game-tying three-pointer with 36 seconds remaining in regulation time to send the game into overtime.
The Silverswords (0-3), seeing their first game action in 11 days, were led by Glacen Florita’s 19 points. Teammate Kristle Henry also added 19 points, a career high. Chaminade grabbed 49 rebounds, which tied for second-most in program history.
Chaminade concludes the Classic on Friday against Montana State Billings at the McKinley High gym, with tip-off set for 5 p.m.
