BYUH women suffer first basketball loss
The BYU-Hawaii women’s basketball team fell to Division I opponent Butler 71-50 in the Tom Weston Invitational on Saturday at the Cannon Activities Center in Laie.
Senior guard Brydgette Tatupu-Leopoldo led the Seasiders (2-1) with 18 points on 60 percent shooting, while Whitney Fieldsted finished just shy of a double-double with 10 points and nine rebounds.
The Seasiders open conference play Thursday at 5 p.m. against Hawaii Pacific at the Neal S. Blaisdell Center.
